As a Global Sales Operations and Enablement Manager, this is what you’ll be doing:
As the Global Sales Operations and Enablement Manager at QS, you will play a crucial role in driving sales efficiency and productivity across our global operations.
This position is vital in shaping and executing our sales strategy, ensuring that our global sales teams are equipped with the tools, resources, and insights they need to deliver exceptional results. You will work closely with senior leaders to align sales objectives with business goals, optimise sales processes, and enhance overall sales performance.
This role is ideal for a dynamic, data-driven leader with a passion for optimising sales processes and empowering teams to achieve exceptional results on a global scale.
Role responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales operations and enablement professionals. Foster a high-performance culture aligned with the company's objectives, ensuring the team is empowered and motivated.
- Sales Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with sales leaders to drive strategic planning, including sales lead processing and tracking, target setting, account, and territory planning. Continuously refine and improve sales processes, methodologies, and policies to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilise data to provide strategic insights into sales performance, market trends, and customer behaviour. Develop and maintain regular sales reports and dashboards for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), sales, and product teams.
- Sales Tools and Technology: Evaluate, select, and manage sales tools and technologies, including CRM systems, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and data analytics platforms. Oversee the management and optimisation of the sales enablement tech stack, ensuring tools are effectively utilised to support sales activities.
- Commission and Compensation: Design and implement commission structures that align with company strategies and motivate the sales team. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely commission payments.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Establish and maintain accurate sales forecasting processes. Track and report on performance against forecasts, providing detailed analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Sales Enablement: Set up and manage proposal management capabilities, ensuring teams can respond to RFPs/RFIs effectively. Maintain an up-to-date repository of core sales collateral that meets QS branding and professional standards.
- Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and support to global sales teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively use sales tools and resources. Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and other departments to design and implement targeted campaigns and initiatives that generate leads and drive sales growth. Support global sales teams in preparing and organising documents for tenders and bids, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Client Engagement and Sales Cycle Management: Lead strategic client engagements, overseeing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure. Ensure seamless transitions through each stage of the sales process, optimising for client satisfaction and business success.
Key skills and experience:
- Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing and motivating teams to achieve high performance. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and align multiple stakeholders.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and turn insights into actionable strategies. Proficiency in SQL and Excel is desirable, but not essential.
- Sales Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CRM systems like HubSpot and NetSuite, as well as analytics tools such as Tableau. Experience managing and optimising sales enablement technologies.
- Global Experience: Experience working in a diverse, multinational environment with sensitivity to different cultures and business practices.
- Experience: Strong experience in sales operations management, ideally within the education sector.
- Organised and Detail-Oriented: Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritise workload, and meet targets set by others while maintaining data integrity.
- Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to work collaboratively and influence decision-making with senior-level audiences. A strong communicator who can drive process improvements and align team efforts with business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Passionate about continuous learning, with a strong commitment to professional growth and excellence in sales operations.
