Overall Purpose of the Role

This role is based in Singapore and responsible for Southeast Asia Markets: Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam.

Our Direct-To-Consumer streaming platforms is home to movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Star, and more. Our streaming platform is available on most internet-connected devices and offers commercial-free programming with a variety of original feature-length films, documentaries, live-action and animated series and short-form content. Alongside unprecedented access to Disney’s incredible library of film and television entertainment, the service is also the exclusive streaming home for the latest releases from The Walt Disney Studios. Similarly, our Studio business encompasses a collection of respected film studios, including Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, Searchlight Pictures, and 20th Century Studios. We bring content from these Studios onto the big screens and maximize consumers’ cinematic experience. 

Job Overview

As a Creative Manager overseeing the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Studio Content for the entertainment business, you will play a pivotal role in fulfilling business objectives with strong understanding of Disney's entertainment industry, creativity, strategic thinking, and exceptional leadership skills to drive success in the DTC and exhibition landscape through design and visual communication that adhere to our brand vision and guidelines. The role also requires the scope to streamline workflow processes, ensuring cost efficiency, and enhancing overall effectiveness.

This role is responsible for producing best-in-class creative designs and experiences across all formats. We are looking for energetic and proactive self-starters with the ability to produce award-winning and innovative creatives. You must possess the ability to work in a collaborative environment, be a strong fan of our brands and have excellent communication skills.

He/she will work closely with regional and local marketing teams to understand brand and business objectives and formulate creative concepts for specific target audience segments. He/she will also lead and coordinate with creative vendors, freelancers and internal/external production resources for all marketing initiatives.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement creative plans to drive growth, audience engagement, and revenue generation within the Disney+ and Studio Content domains.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align creative objectives with marketing goals.
  • Oversee the creation, development, and curation of compelling and innovative creative solutions and campaigns for Disney entertainment brand and content.
  • Work closely with creative teams to ensure content meets Disney's brand standards, storytelling guidelines, and resonates with the target audience.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for streamlining and enhancing efficiency within the Disney+ and studio content production pipeline.
  • Implement improvements and best practices to streamline production timelines and resource allocation.
  • Cost Efficiency and Resource Management:
  • Strategically manage resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure optimal cost-efficiency while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize production costs without compromising on creativity or content quality from a regional perspective.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Foster collaboration and alignment among creative, production, marketing, franchise and digital teams to deliver cohesive and integrated creative across Disney+ and studio businesses.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of project objectives and progress.
  • Innovation and Industry Trends:
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to drive innovation and continuous improvement in content development and distribution.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of internal and external creative professionals, providing guidance and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, identify development opportunities, and nurture talent within the team.

  • Min 6-8 years of experience in creative marketing.
  • Proven experience in creative management within the entertainment industry, specifically in streaming services and studio content.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, process optimization, and cost efficiency initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Disney's brand, storytelling, and content creation standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving industry landscape.
