At Maersk Customs Services (formerly KGH) we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic full-time Customs Process Administrator to join our team in Linz, Austria. As a Customs Process Administrator, you will play a key role in managing and executing activities related to customs clearance and ensuring that international customs regulations are complied with. Previous experience in customs is an advantage, but we also welcome applications from graduates and entry-level employees who are ready to learn and develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Collective agreement classification: A1

Salary: min. 2198.50 EUR per month

Areas of responsibility:

Listed below are some of the key responsibilities of this role. However, we work in an Agile environment, making this a superb opportunity for you to carve this role for yourself!

  • Managing and carrying out customs clearance processes, including import and export, import, export, movement, storage or transit of goods across borders and subject to customs control
  • Providing administrative support to the customs operations team, including data entry, document management and communication with customers and stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with international customs laws, regulations and standards
  • Working independently and applying standards, with the ability to deviate from established processes to solve problems
  • Independent decision-making within defined limits and guidelines under supervision
  • Building and maintaining knowledge of standardized work procedures and methods, general facts and information
  • Working with colleagues and escalating non-routine issues to a more experienced colleague or supervisor when necessary
  • Continuously improving processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness

  • It is an advantage if you have previous experience with customs procedures
  • Strong motivation and enthusiasm for working in customs clearance and logistics.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex data sets
  • MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to quickly adapt to customs software
  • Good communication skills in German and English (written and oral)
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in customs clearance and logistics.
  • It is an advantage if you have a driving license
