Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in customer facing role.
- 2 years of experience in data and information management as it relates to Big Data or Streaming Data Pipeline.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Hadoop/Spark ecosystem, BigQuery, Athena, Snowflake.
- Ability to communicate fluently in Japanese in order to communicate in this customer-facing sales role
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, other technical fields or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience as a data engineer, database architect or database administrator who conducts data platform requirements analysis and stakeholder management.
- Experience in growth marketing related roles in SaaS, Independent Software Vendor (ISV), or consumer application industry.
- Experience as a technology consultant, technical architect, enterprise architect, technical sales engineer, or solutions architect.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions with local stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Manage technical relationships with digital native customers regarding data platforms. Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Share data analytics and data engineering knowledge to support technical relationships with customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination and prioritization of solutions impacting customer adoption of Google Cloud.
- Influence the digital native industry’s technical decision-making through storytelling to evolve data platform architectures and growth marketing strategies with Google Cloud.
- Drive data analytics solutions consumption with technical wins to solve customer’s pain points by collaborating with data platform partners and data analytics partners.
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed.
