Job Description

This role involves leading a team to review data usage and consolidation across various entities, including Client Data, KYC, Market Data, Reference Data, and Organizational Data. Responsibilities include detailed analysis of key data elements related to Interest Rate, FX, and Repo products. The analyst will provide expert guidance to Technology and Compliance on data flow and transformation to ensure client data accuracy. This includes ensuring data accuracy on outbound feeds and end-of-day reporting, supporting other teams in understanding CSA and collateral requirements, supporting BCBS239 requirements, and contributing to the Target Operating Model. The role also involves validating client data, reconciling data, ensuring accurate data capture and processing, documenting processes, incorporating financial reporting considerations into interface design, supporting go-live activities, assisting with QA testing, raising tickets for product defects, and highlighting risks and concerns.

Project description

As a lead Business Analyst within a project team this role involves reviewing data usage and consolidation amongst entities within the client.

This covers Client Data, KYC, Market Data, Reference Data and Organisational Data. The delivery tasks will consist of reviewing requirements, build required solution, test the build, and deploy to production.

Responsibilities

In this role you will undertake detailed analysis on key data elements related to Interest Rate, FX and Repo products and provide expert guidiance to both Technology and Compliance on data flow, transformation to ensure client data is aligned and accurately reached the required systems based on the business requirements.

Analyse client data, market data and organisation requirements with the relevant teams and applications.

Ensure data is accurately represented on outbound feeds as well as end of day reporting extracts.

This includes supporting other workstreams such as Risk and Operations in understanding CSA requirements, collateral requirements and Risk reporting requirements.

Support requirements and TOM for BCBS239.

Support the business in creating the Target Operating model.

Validate client data requirements across all workstreams.

Ability to reconcile, review data on behalf of the business.

Ensure client data attributes are captured and processed accurately and interpreted by the other workstreams and systems

Work with the Technical team and document processes at a detailed level

Ensure financial reporting considerations/constraints are incorporated into the interface design and construction

Work in a co-ordinated manner around go-live activities, ensuring services are transitioned into the live production environment in a manner which is compliant with technology policy and non-disruptive to the business

Assist QA member on test strategy, test plans and test scripting

Ensuring due diligence is applied and the systems are rigorously tested prior to user acceptance testing

Work with the software vendor, raising tickets with any product defects

Highlight risks or concerns ensuring items are followed up or escalated appropriately

Skills

Must have

Have extensive experience working with financial investment products including Vanilla IR.

Have worked closely on client data previously

A solid understanding and experience of BCBS239.

Have worked on client data platforms such as EDM

Have experience of Market data and organisation data applications for financial accounting

Pay great attention to detail and be client driven with a focus on delivery and milestones

Have exceptional communication skills, being able to converse with a wide variety of stakeholders including department heads

Be flexibile, particularly when working on rolling out system changes in non-business hours

Have experience working on documenting testing and be familiar with the various types of technology testing which needs to be undertaken to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose
