The Multiplayer Group (MPG) seeks an Associate Data Scientist to gather, transform, and present data on various game industry projects. This entry-level position offers on-the-job training, though a STEM graduate degree is mandatory. Familiarity with data science tools (Python, Jupyter Notebook, Tableau, SQL, Linux) is beneficial. Responsibilities include building and maintaining data platforms, designing analytics dashboards, modeling and forecasting, conducting EDA, organizing tasks, communicating insights, and reading research papers. The ideal candidate possesses creative problem-solving skills, a curious nature, and the ability to communicate data narratives effectively.

At MPG, we specialise in creating the highest standard of mind-blowing video game experiences for our partners, across Co-Dev, Full-Dev and Analytics projects. Your mission:

We are looking for an Associate Data Scientist to join our Data Science and Analytics team here at The Multiplayer Group (MPG). Your primary responsibilities will be the gathering, transforming and presenting data on a wide array of Game Industry related projects.

This is an entry level position, so experience is not required as training will be provided on the job. However, a graduate degree from a STEM course is essential. Familiarity with data science tools is advantageous (such as but not limited to: Python, Jupyter Notebook, Tableau, SQL and Linux).

We need someone who can think their way around problems rather than through them, has an aptitude for creative problem solving and is naturally curious. You should also be capable of constructing a narrative that speaks for the data and isn’t dogmatically tied to your own preconceived beliefs.

What you'll be doing:

  • Building and maintaining data platforms leveraging APIs, SQL, NoSQL etc.
  • Design analytics dashboards using tools like Tableau
  • Modelling and forecasting
  • Conducting Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA)
  • Organising tasks and projects
  • Communicating key insights in an intuitive way
  • Reading research papers to understand business questions

Requirements

  • Graduate degree from a STEM course (Statistics, Mathematics, etc.)
  • Familiarity with data science tools is advantageous
  • An interest in the gaming industry
  • You're naturally curious and have an aptitude of creatively solving problems
