Job Description
DAZN seeks a highly skilled Data Engineer to join their Advertising Data Team. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing data-driven solutions for complex advertising problems; leading the development and optimization of data processing pipelines; writing efficient code in Python and SQL; collaborating with cross-functional teams on data modeling and analysis; and staying updated on industry trends. The ideal candidate will possess strong programming fundamentals, expert-level knowledge of SQL, Python, and Apache Spark, and experience building scalable data processing pipelines. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field and 4+ years of experience are required.
Must have:
- Expert in SQL, Python, Apache Spark
- 4+ years experience in data engineering

- Strong problem-solving skills
Good to have:
- Machine learning algorithms
- Statistical analysis

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement advanced data-driven solutions to complex advertising problems.
- ·Lead the development and optimization of our data processing pipelines
- ·Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python and SQL.
- ·Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand, develop and guide data modeling, analysis, and engineering solutions.
- ·Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data science and software engineering to drive innovation within the team.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- ·4+ years of professional experience in data science and software engineering.
- ·Strong programming fundamentals, with proficiency in Python and SQL.
- ·Demonstrated experience in building scalable data processing pipelines and data modeling.
- ·Familiarity with machine learning algorithms, and statistical analysis is a plus.
- ·Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex issues that require in-depth analysis and evaluation.
- ·Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- ·Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps tools is a plus.
- ·An understanding of advertising will be a bonus
