Job Description

This internship at Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the New Product Introduction (NPI) team. As a Data Engineer Intern, you will play a key role in streamlining product launch processes by configuring and maintaining Bill of Materials (BOM) data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize systems, leverage data insights for strategic decision-making, and contribute to the development of IT tools and dashboards. Problem-solving skills, data analysis expertise, and proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, and PLM/ERP/MES systems are essential. The internship provides valuable experience in a fast-paced environment, fostering professional growth and contribution to Tesla's innovative work.

Must have:

BOM data configuration and maintenance
System optimization and transition support
Data analysis and insight extraction
IT tool and dashboard development
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, PLM, ERP, MES
Problem-solving and solution implementation

Good to have:

Dashboard creation experience
Experience with data visualization tools

BOM Mastery: Configure and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) data for new programs and ongoing changes.
System Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system transitions and optimizations.
Data Analysis: Leverage data insights to identify trends, optimize processes, and support strategic decision-making.
Tool Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of IT tools and dashboards to boost efficiency.
Problem-Solving: Dive into complex challenges and implement innovative solutions.

What You’ll Bring

Education: Currently pursuing a BSc. or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or IT.
Data Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for working with data and extracting meaningful insights.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and a strong foundation in PLM, ERP, MES, and analytics tools.
