What will you be doing at Miniclip?

As a Senior Analytics Engineer you will be expected to:

• Technical expertise: Contribute to the design and implementation of complex data modelling solutions. Maintain a deep understanding of best practices in data modelling and data transformation.
• Strategic collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable data initiatives. Clearly communicate data insights to leadership and influence data-driven decision making.
• Leading data initiatives: Own and drive complex data projects from conception to implementation. Ensure successful delivery of these projects to meet business needs and best practices of software development in data workflows are being applied.
• Mentoring and coaching: Foster a culture of learning and development by mentoring junior Analytics Engineers. Provide guidance and support to help them excel in their roles.
• Staying at the forefront: Proactively identify and implement emerging data technologies and trends to future-proof the data infrastructure and maximise its impact.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a team player who is passionate about games. The ideal candidate should be skilled in the following areas:

• Advanced expertise in SQL data querying and manipulation. In-depth knowledge and ability to optimise complex queries. Experience of Python scripting is a plus.
• Extensive experience in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimising complex data models using Kimball dimensional models. Data Vault is a plus.
• Proficiency in a data transformation tool like dbt Core or dbt Cloud (or similar tools) to build and manage data pipelines is mandatory.
• Proficiency with data warehouse management and administration using tools such as Redshift, BigQuery or Snowflake.
• Experience with open format tables such as Iceberg or Delta is a plus.
• Solid experience and leadership in implementing and maintaining DAGs for orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
• Experience using Apache Spark or Databricks for large-scale data processing is a plus.
• Experience managing data solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP .
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and Cloud Formation are a plus.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of identifying and solving complex data challenges with innovative and efficient solutions.
