Job Description

The Engineering Analyst, AI Safety role involves solving complex problems using data and statistical methods, preventing fraud and abuse, improving tools and automated systems, and developing scalable safety solutions for AI products. Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
1 year data analysis experience
1 year project management experience
Problem-solving skills
Communication skills

Good to have:

Master's degree
Experience with SQL, R, Python, or C++
Machine learning experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
1 year of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience with one or more of the following languages: SQL, R, Python, or C++.
1 year of experience with machine learning systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fluid environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This role works with sensitive content or situations and will be exposed to graphic, controversial, or upsetting topics or content.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $99,000-$145,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
