The EA Solution Architect is pivotal in bridging the gap between enterprise-level architecture and practical technology implementations. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of architectural principles to design and deliver effective technology solutions that adhere to both architectural standards and business requirements. In this capacity, you will be integral in translating business and technical requirements into robust architectural designs. Your expertise will guide the selection of technologies, tools, and platforms, considering scalability, performance, security, and compliance, to support the architecture of solutions. You will also design integration approaches to ensure seamless interoperability between various technology components and systems.Maintaining comprehensive solution architectures and technical documentation, including creating architectural artifacts and diagrams, is essential. Additionally, you will collaborate with change management teams to facilitate the adoption of architectural changes and ensure stakeholders comprehend the benefits of these decisions. Your role will extend to staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in enterprise architecture to continuously enhance solution designs and contribute to the organization's architectural capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with project teams to understand specific solution requirements and translate them into detailed architectural designs that fit within the EA frameworks.
Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms to support the solution's architecture, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and compliance.
Design integration approaches to ensure seamless interoperability between different technology components and systems.
Create and maintain comprehensive solution architectures and technical documentation, including architectural artifacts, diagrams, and documentation that support EA objectives.
Ensure that technology solutions align with the organization's architectural standards, industry regulations, security protocols, data privacy requirements, and other relevant compliance considerations within the EA context.
Collaborate with Domain Architects and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication of technical concepts, architectural decisions, and the value of solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Information Systems, or similar.
Preferred: Solution Architecture Certification (e.g., Cloud, AWS, Azure).
3 – 6 years’ experience in designing and implementing systems and solutions from the ground up.
Proven experience in specialised technology or architecture roles with a successful track record in solution delivery.
Pertinent Points:
The Solution Architect will utilise tools like LeanIX to support architectural decisions, compliance, and governance within the organization.
This role involves extensive collaboration with Domain Architects and other stakeholders to effectively communicate technical concepts and the value of solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
