A game programmer should be self-motivated, energetic team player able to efficiently prototype new game systems and bring them to a high level of polish.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with other departments to ensure art supports a gameplay-first player experience
- Foster and maintain effective relationships inside and outside the art department
- Come up with innovative ways to solve problems quickly to unblock other teams
- Be a jack of all trades when necessary to generate the largest impact
- Ensure art team is focused on making art optimized for performance as well as quality.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, other comparable degree area, or comparable experience
- 2+ years of professional video game programming experience
- Fluent in C++ and Python
- Flexible to learning other languages and software.
- Able to create tools to help improve pipeline and optimize workflow for artists.
- Excellent problem-solving and trouble shooting skills
- Experience working with GIT, SVN or perforce
- Have a great interest in games
- Experience in web development is a plus
