Job Description

This job is for a Graduate Intern with diverse technical responsibilities. The role is primarily for the summer or short breaks. The candidate should have experience in device physics simulations and electro-photonic integrated circuits and systems. The intern will work with Intel's Sales and Marketing organization, collaborating with customers and partners to solve business problems using Intel-based technology solutions. The team focuses on forecasting, driving alignment with factory production, delivering efficiency tools, and driving demand and localized marketing. The intern will be part of a team that navigates a complex partner and customer ecosystem while shaping product roadmaps, driving value for customers, and collaborating to harness emerging technology trends.
Must have:
  • Pursuing PhD in Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • 6+ months experience in device physics simulations.
  • 6+ months experience in electro-photonic integrated circuits.
Good to have:
  • Experience in research related to high-performance optical communications.
  • Experience in electro-photonic integration and optimization.

Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your degree, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences. 


Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must be pursuing a PhD degree in Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a relevant engineering discipline
  • US Citizenship required
  • 6+ months of experience in device physics simulations
  • 6+ months of experience in the development of electro-photonic integrated circuits and systems



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in research related to high-performance optical communications e.g., modulators, or drivers.
  • Experience in research related to electro-photonic integration and optimization, or a related topic.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$63,000.00-$166,000.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
