This contract position for a Senior Engineer at Nintendo Technology Development involves building and improving self-service access to resources within their compute cloud. Responsibilities include collaborating with Engineering, DevOps, and Testing teams to enhance user access; working with DevOps, IT, and Engineering to expand their compute cloud infrastructure; and leveraging expertise in Linux administration, virtualization (KVM), containers (LXC, LXD, Docker), Linux networking, and shared storage. A strong understanding of cloud computing concepts (Kubernetes, OpenStack, OpenNebula, KVM, Ceph, AWS, GCP, Azure) is essential.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
  • Work with Engineering, DevOps and Testing to provide a user self service access to resources in our compute cloud.
  • Build work with DevOps, IT and Engineering to build out our compute cloud.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
  • Hands on experience with building cloud infrastructure with Linux/Unix
  • Practical knowledge of Linux administration, virtualization (KVM), containers (LXC,LXD, Docker), linux networking, linux shared storage.
  • Sound knowledge of cloud computing concepts & technologies, such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, OpenNebula, KVM, Ceph, AWS, GCP, Azure etc.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field or experience

This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time. 
 
This contract position has a base pay range of $100 - $125 per hour and is eligible for benefits through the employing agency. Agency benefits include eligibility for medical insurance, employee assistance program, and paid sick leave. All benefits are subject to elections, eligibility requirements, plan and program terms. Benefits offerings will be confirmed at the time of offer by the employing agency, and may differ depending on the employing agency partner.
