This position requires a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide individualized home supports and family training to a blind young adult with autism. The role involves supporting the individual in establishing and maintaining a consistent daily routine, gently encouraging outings, and building adaptive skills that promote independence. Responsibilities include skill development in areas like health, safety, household management, and community access, providing training to family members, assisting with activities of daily living, participating in team meetings, writing progress notes, and maintaining consistency in services. The caregiver will also make a real impact through mentoring, coaching, and meaningful connection.
Must have:
  • Valid Driver
  • Provide one-on-one support in an in-home setting

This unique opportunity blends in-home and in-community services tailored to the specific needs of the person served—focusing on life skill development, daily routines, and meaningful engagement. Position Overview: We're seeking a dedicated, compassionate individual to work one-on-one with a blind young adult with autism, providing Individualized Home Supports (IHS) with Family Training in their family home. You’ll support this individual in:
  • Establishing and maintaining a consistent daily routine

  • Gently encouraging outings, such as walks or local activities

  • Building adaptive skills that promote independence

Key Details:
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Pay: Fixed rate of $19.50/hour

  • Setting: Family home and community — not a group home

In this role, you will:
  • Provide one-on-one support in an in-home setting

  • Offer skill development in areas such as health, safety, household management, and community access

  • Provide training and coaching to family members

  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care and meal prep

  • Participate in team meetings, write progress notes, and help maintain consistency in services

  • Make a real impact through mentoring, coaching, and meaningful connection
