Job Description

This role involves leading the technical development of Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) tools and methods for automotive software testing and validation. Responsibilities include designing, coding, and delivering robust SIL solutions, innovating and improving the existing SIL ecosystem, collaborating with stakeholders to identify needs, and optimizing workflows for developer experience. The goal is to accelerate integration testing, minimize testing times, and enable rapid evaluations in early project phases, ultimately contributing to the development of consistently reliable and high-quality automotive software. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in developing SIL solutions for complex systems and advanced programming skills in Python or C++.

Must have:

Expertise in developing SIL solutions
Advanced programming (Python, C++)

Cloud infrastructure (AWS)
CI/CD pipelines (Zuul, Jenkins)

Customers Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) initiative is transforming how they develop and validate software at scale. The goals:

- Ensure consistently reliable software products.
- Accelerate integration testing by identifying issues early—without reliance on physical hardware.
- Minimize testing and deployment times through fast, scalable virtual testing.
- Enable rapid evaluations and accelerated progress in early project phases.

By automating and streamlining testing, customer empowers developers with immediate feedback while delivering exceptional vehicles to their customers.

Responsibilities

You will:

Lead the technical development of Software-in-the-Loop tools and methods, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability

Work hands-on to design, code, and deliver robust solutions that developers trust.

Innovate and improve the current SIL ecosystem, introducing cutting-edge tools and approaches to enhance functionality and usability.

Collaborate with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to identify needs and align tool development with broader R&D goals.

Optimize workflows to improve developer experience and adoption of SIL practices

Skills

Must have

Proven expertise in developing and improving Software-in-the-Loop solutions for testing and validation in complex systems.

Advanced programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages.

Strong experience with software development best practices, including design, implementation, and testing.

Nice to have

Expertise in cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS).

Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Zuul, Jenkins).

Familiarity with SIL and simulation standards.

Experience with SIL and Virtual ECU tools used in the automotive industry (e.g., Silver, emulators).

Knowledge of HIL tools (e.g., dSPACE, Vector).

Proficiency in Linux and POSIX environments.

Understanding of automotive operating systems, standards, and protocols (e.g., QNX, AUTOSAR, CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet, SOME/IP).

Experience with CAE, simulations, and modeling.
