The Laborer Specialist at Walt Disney World Resort assists various shops, operating equipment like PITs, trailers, forklifts, and tractors. Responsibilities include moving assets, palletizing materials, loading/unloading trucks, and handling cleaning chemicals. The role requires bending, kneeling, and working at heights/confined spaces. Successful candidates will possess a valid Florida driver's license, obtain a CDL with air brakes, complete required training (forklifts, HAZMAT, Safety in Motion), and lift up to 50 pounds. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in standard office software are essential. The position offers a $19.25/hour pay rate and potential benefits.

The Laborer is responsible for assisting the various shops within the assigned location. The Laborer will operate a variety of equipment to include PIT, combination trailer, forklift, and tractors. The Laborer will be required to obtain equipment operational certifications. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.

The pay rate for this role in Florida is $19.25 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Move or relocate assets and equipment
  • Palletize material
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, crouch, and twist to complete daily functions
  • Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with ability to obtain a CDL with Air Brakes
  • Successfully finish the required training, including the use of power industrial trucks (such as forklifts and Power Pallet Jacks,) and safety training such as HAZMAT and Safety in Motion
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices

Basic Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida driver’s license with ability to obtain a CDL with Air Brakes
  • Successfully finish the required training, including the use of power industrial trucks (such as forklifts and Power Pallet Jacks,) and safety training such as HAZMAT and Safety in Motion
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
