Job Description

Kolibri Games is seeking a Lead Unity Developer to head one of their development teams and contribute to the ongoing success of their hit game, Idle Bank Tycoon. In this role, you will lead the technical direction of the project, mentor team members, collaborate with product teams, and ensure high-quality game development. You will be responsible for making key technical decisions, managing project timelines, and driving technical innovation within the company. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on a game played by millions.

Must have:

5+ years of mobile game development experience
Prior experience managing 3+ developers directly
Proficiency in Unity3D
Strong communication skills
Familiarity with industry best practices
Strong prioritization skills
Comprehensive knowledge of game development best practices

Lead Unity Developer (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Lead Unity Developer to manage one of our developer teams and contribute to a game which is played by millions of players.

At Kolibri Games we work with multidisciplinary teams in 2 week sprints, regularly releasing features and updates. In your role you’d actively contribute to the technical advancement of Idle Bank Tycoon, one of our most successful games to date. With Longevity in mind you ensure the continuous quality and timely delivery of projects with your team.

To achieve sustainable results you will work in direct collaboration with fellow leads in the team and technical leaders throughout the company.

Responsibilities

Make key technical decisions for your project
Coach and mentor developers to support their professional growth
Collaborate closely with product teams to identify areas for technical improvement
Work within a cross-functional team for effective collaboration
Estimate effort and break down complex projects for easier implementation
Coordinate with other leads on planning and resource allocation
Ensure the maintainability, scalability, and high quality of systems within the game
Collaborate with tech leaders to drive overall technical innovation within the company
Support the hiring process for new developers

Required skills

5+ years of experience in mobile game development
Prior experience managing at least three developers directly
Experience with Unity3D
Strong communication skills for clear, effective, and collaborative interaction across a cross-functional team
Familiarity with industry best practices and solutions, with the ability to identify and apply the best fit for specific problems
Strong prioritization skills for managing tasks and projects effectively
Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in game development and architecture patterns
Willingness to learn and continuously grow
