Job Description

Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg seeks a Maintenance Technician for its Drive Unit area. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving faults in complex, automated production plants, maintaining detailed documentation of all maintenance activities, and performing repairs, maintenance, and conversions on production machinery according to specifications. Expertise in converter and robot technology is crucial. The technician will also contribute to preventive maintenance and continuous improvement of production efficiency and quality within a demanding, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, a completed vocational training (mechatronics or equivalent), and excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Shift work is required.
Must have:
  • Troubleshooting complex automated systems

  • Converter & robot technology expertise
  • Repair, maintenance & conversion of machinery
  • Preventive maintenance participation
  • Mechatronics training or equivalent
  • Strong communication & teamwork skills

Maintenance Technician for Automated Production Systems Drive Unit (m/w/d) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg


We are seeking a Maintenance Technicians for our Drive Unit area who will play a crucial role in the development of our electric motors by utilizing their expertise to optimize, question, and eliminate processes, while continuously improving production efficiency and quality in a challenging and stimulating environment.

What You’ll Do
  • You need to have expertise in troubleshooting and fault elimination on complex and fully automated production plants
  • You need to maintain documentation of all maintenance, conversion, and servicing work, as well as damage reporting and troubleshooting
  • You need to have knowledge and experience in troubleshooting in the area of converter technology and robot technology
  • You need to execute repair, maintenance, servicing, and conversion work on all production machines in accordance with specifications in a timely and professional manner
  • You need to participate in the execution of preventive maintenance work
What You’ll Bring
  • Completed vocational training as a mechatronics technician (m/f/d) or comparable qualification 
  • Flexibility, communication and team skills, performance and readiness for action
  • Willingness to work in shifts in a fully continuous shift model
  • Good knowledge of control engineering, pneumatics, hydraulics and / or robotics
  • Good technical understanding and good practical manual skills
  • Work experience in the field of maintenance of production plants
  • Good English language skills required and German language skills desirable
