- Summary The Manager-Quality maintains ultimate responsibility for assuring that all products are defect free and compliant with Customer technical specifications.
- Job Description:
- Interface with Customers on all Quality issues
- Manage all Customers/AS9100/Regulatory agency/Third party audits
- Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with external and internal customers to facilitate the successful accomplishment of business objectives
- Monitor, improve, and oversee all QMS quality policies/procedures to achieve and sustain all required certifications
- Develop, maintain and perform internal audits
- Develop and maintain the corrective/preventive action system and ensure follow-up and closure of corrective/preventive action Requests, as well as verification of effectiveness
- Monitor and report status of non-conformities from internal and external audits
- Prepare and present periodic Management Reviews of the Quality System to senior management
- Report and improve all Quality-related KPI's
- Lead Problem Solving events
- Develop, implement, and execute product and process quality plans that assure conformance to all customer and regulatory requirements
- Act as designated liaison for regulatory bodies and accrediting organizations
- Develop, maintain and ensure compliance with QMS procedures, work instructions and "Best Practices" throughout the facility
- Responsible for the overall operation of the inspection department and hold the final authority in releasing product
- Provide advice, counsel and analysis in support of existing and proposed manufacturing operations regarding ability to meet design and customer requirements, recommending necessary changes
- Manage, train and mentor of Quality Inspectors, as well as assure inspection and test is planned, effective and efficient in mitigating quality risks
- Work in conjunction with the management team to select, train and develop a highly skilled quality workforce; provide supervision, administrative support, technical direction, assistance and discipline, as required.
- Requirements
- Skills, Education, and Experience Requirements:
- BE degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of technical discipline.
- Minimum ten (10) years of professional experience in quality management in aerospace industry
- Experience in handling Aerospace prime customers and their requirements (Ex: Airbus, Boeing, SAFRAN, Pratt & Whitney, and Goodrich etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- A comprehensive knowledge of AS 9100 requirements
- Experience with International and Aerospace Quality System Standards regulations, including planning and implementation
- Experience with quality manufacturing system and understanding and interpretation of technical drawings and of specifications
- Experience in interpretation and measurement of all GD&T features
- Experience/Knowledge on CMM and interpretation of results
- Experience on FAI process IAW AS9102
- Experience in manufacturing of aero structure/aero engine products
- Preparation of Gauge plan, capability analysis, data and defect analysis
- A sound knowledge of the application of Quality Systems
- Proficiency in MS Office, Advanced Excel.
