Job Description

As a Marketing Manager at Google, you will drive user growth for Google Search and Google Maps in India by executing marketing strategies, developing high-impact campaigns, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for product branding, messaging, positioning, and targeting, as well as working with strategic partners and managing external agencies. The role requires excellent communication skills, project management abilities, and a passion for AI and new technologies. You will be required to have experience in consumer marketing and strategy. The role requires handling multiple projects and stakeholders.
Must have:
  • Develop marketing plans with actionable insights.
  • Experience in product branding and messaging.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management experience with stakeholders.
  • 4+ years experience in consumer marketing or media.
Good to have:
  • MBA degree
  • Experience in marketing
  • Understanding of online advertising.

Role: Marketing Manager 

Location: Gurgaon, India 

 

What you will be doing:

Google products are used by billions of users everyday. As a marketing manager in Google’s consumer marketing team, you will be working towards driving user growth of Google Search and Google Maps in India. You will be partnering with cross-functional teams across Google to ensure the successful execution of the marketing strategy. You will support the development of high-impact marketing campaigns to drive adoption, and increase usage of products through online, offline, and partner co-marketing campaigns. You will also be liasoning between our agencies (media, creative, research).

 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Proven track record developing marketing plans through actionable insights and recommendations. Experience in product branding, messaging, positioning, and targeting.
  • Experience working with many strategic partners and driving impact both via influence (w/o direct authority) and via joint agreements.
  • Ability to influence all levels and work effectively across functions, geographies, and corporate cultures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with writing consumer-facing copy.
  • Proven track record of exceptional performance and high productivity; ability to prioritize for business impact among competing needs.
  • Experience managing external creative agencies to timeline and budget.
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree
  • Experience working in Marketing
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management and marketing execution across channels and markets
  • Interest in and understanding of online advertising, digital media consumption patterns, and branding measurement
  • Interest in technology and internet in India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 4+ of experience in consumer marketing, media, strategy, or consulting.
  • Project management experience; experience handling multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Comfort with data
