Omitron, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Administrator to support test and development systems for the ATLAS software development project. This role involves administering unclassified and classified network systems, managing software deployment pipelines, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities include monitoring Linux and Windows-based applications, Kubernetes nodes and pods, and data flow within mission systems. The candidate will also perform software deployments, anomaly resolution, database monitoring, and daily activity logging. This position requires on-call support and collaboration with lead engineers. The role is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado with potential remote work based on project needs.

Must have:

Active Secret security clearance
Bachelor's degree with 6+ years experience OR 10+ years experience
Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

Good to have:

Master’s degree in related field
Experience with Kubernetes, Postgres, SQL, and team collaboration tools
Experience in space situational awareness
Knowledge and application of networking fundamentals
Experience with GitLab and Atlassian Toolsets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
DoD 8570 compliant, CompTIA Security+ certification
Current DoD Top Secret (TS/SCI) Security Clearance is a plus

Job Details

Omitron, Inc. is looking for a Mid-Level Systems Administrator to join our team in our Colorado Springs, CO office. This role will support the test and development systems supporting the ATLAS software development project. This support includes administering the unclassified and classified network systems as well as the associated software deployment pipelines. This position requires candidates to be at the customer facilities in Colorado Springs Full Time, with potential remote work depending on project needs.

Responsibilities:

Monitor, operate, and maintain Linux and Windows based applications (Note: Linux is more important)
Monitor Kubernetes nodes and pods
Monitor data flow within mission systems
Perform mission software update deployments into Kubernetes clusters
Perform troubleshooting and anomaly resolution
Perform database monitoring and administration functions
Escalate issues to lead engineers when needed and work with them on resolution of issues
Maintain daily logs of activity to ensure continuity of operations
Provide on-call support, including non-standard working hours

Minimum Requirements:

Security Clearance: Active Secret security clearance
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 6+ years of related experience in administering with Linux and Windows based operating systems.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of related experience in administering with Linux and Windows based operating systems.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in administering with Linux and Windows based operating systems.
Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks while faced with anomalies

Desired Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a related field to include Software Engineering, Database Administration, Information Technology, Space Operations, or Astrodynamics.
Experience with Kubernetes, Postgres, SQL, and team collaboration tools
Experience in the specific domain of space situational awareness.
Knowledge and application of networking fundamentals
Hands-on experience with GitLab and Atlassian Toolsets (JIRA, Confluence).
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
DoD 8570 compliant, CompTIA Security+ certification
Current DoD Top Secret (TS/SCI) Security Clearance is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $170,000, depending on relevant experience, location, and other factors.
