Job Description

The MRO Buyer sources and purchases MRO supplies such as tools, safety equipment, and spare parts. They identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing and delivery, monitor stock levels, and collaborate with teams to understand requirements. They process purchase orders, maintain vendor relationships, ensure compliance, and identify cost-saving opportunities. They also resolve invoice issues, support audits, and maintain procurement records. Experience with AI programs for operational improvement is a plus. The buyer will manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience
  • Knowledge of MRO categories and suppliers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
Good to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Daily operation with AI experience

Job Details

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

● Source and purchase MRO supplies such as tools, safety equipment, spare parts, and janitorial materials , , , etc.
● Identify and evaluate suppliers; negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
● Monitor stock levels and reorder materials as needed to avoid shortages or overstock.
● Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to understand material requirements.
● Process purchase orders and ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods and services.
● Maintain vendor relationships and assess supplier performance.
● Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
● Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or reliability.
● Work closely with accounts payable to resolve invoice and payment issues.
● Support audits and maintain procurement records in ERP or inventory management systems.
● Support and proceed AI program for improvement of daily operations.
 

Essential Skills and Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field
 (preferred).
● 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally in MRO or industrial settings.
● Knowledge of MRO categories and suppliers.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
● Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.
● Daily operation with AI experience is plus.
