Job Summary:

Department/Group Overview:

Network Operations provides first line support and troubleshooting for large scale production issues as well as implementing Data Center builds. Working closely with both the Network Engineering team and Systems Operations, the Network Operations team ensures maximum uptime of services and speedy resolution of all issues.

Job Summary:

Network Operations II are expected to be well versed in numerous networking protocols, technologies and troubleshooting methodology. Utilizing this unique skill set, NetOps provide first line support to all departments with regards to traffic flow and network issues / inquiries. NetOps is also responsible for populating new DC builds in terms of configurations and documentation, and support the needs of other teams with regards to their specific technologies.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Provide first line support for all network issues
  • Work with Network Engineering to implement Data Center Builds
  • Produce accurate and easily parsable documentation for any new builds or procedures
  • Performing routine hardware and software upgrades and configurations

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related software engineering field or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of technical experience in network, security, and transport related fields
  • Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings. This includes occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • CCNA certification preferred
  • Experience with routing and switching technologies in datacenter networks
  • Demonstrated expertise and understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite
  • Experience and fundamental knowledge of transport, network and internet routing concepts, security policies and peering; specifically, BGP, OSCP, TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, DWMD
  • Substantial experience administering Cisco product lines (IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR and NXOS)
  • Strong knowledge of firewall technologies
  • Working knowledge of both Cisco Campus and VXLAN environments
  • Knowledge of network and information security practices with specific regard to cisco ASA operation
  • Working knowledge of Layer 3 routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP, etc.
  • Experience with Linux


The hiring range for this position in Charlotte, NC is $82,900 - $111,100 per year, in The Woodlands, TX is $82,900 - $111,100 per year, in Las Vegas is $82,900 - $111,100 per year and in Bristol, CT is $87,100 - $116,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
