Job Description

The Partner Manager will be responsible for managing and growing dedicated publisher accounts, overseeing all operational and strategic aspects to help both partners and Teads achieve their goals, including technical setup, monitoring, analysis, upselling, and retention. They will conduct regular meetings and consultations with partners to understand their priorities and relay their feedback to relevant internal stakeholders. They will also provide training on the Teads platform and introduce new features and initiatives to partners at appropriate times. This role involves collaboration with various teams to support the renewal and onboarding of strategic publisher deals, contribute to local/global demand sales, and report to the Partner Management Team Lead in Japan.
Must have:
  • 3 years of experience in digital media or ad tech.
  • Experience managing strategic partners and launching new products.
  • Solid understanding of the digital advertising industry and business models.
  • Excellent analytical skills, communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Native-level Japanese language skills and willingness to work in English.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with advertising platforms (SSP or DSP) and digital tools.
  • Willingness and ability to learn the Teads system architecture.
  • Experience with display and video advertising technologies.
  • Experience with Salesforce.

About the opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated Partner Manager to expand the adoption of our content recommendation platform and video advertising solutions among digital media partners participating in the Teads platform.

The ideal candidate is client-service oriented, with strong analytical skills, a data-driven mindset, and problem-solving abilities. This person should be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, ensuring smooth operations while supporting the growth and success of our media partners.

This role is part of the local Partner Management team and is responsible for building, maintaining, and strengthening strong relationships with existing partners. The Partner Manager will support partners’ business growth by leveraging Teads’ technology to optimize revenue, enhance audience engagement, and drive the adoption of new products.

We are looking for a passionate and driven individual with experience in digital media, video advertising, or ad networks in the Japanese market. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of digital advertising and related technologies, and be able to grow together with the team while working collaboratively with global teams and cross-functional departments.

What will you do?

  • You will be responsible for managing and growing dedicated publisher accounts.
  • Oversee all operational and strategic aspects to help both partners and Teads achieve their goals, including technical setup, monitoring, analysis, upselling, and retention.
  • Conduct regular meetings and consultations with partners to understand their priorities and relay their feedback to relevant internal stakeholders. 
  • Provide training on the Teads platform and introduce new features and initiatives to partners at appropriate times.
  • Collaborate with the Japan Publisher Managing Director (MD), the local Partner Management (PM) team lead, and the Business Development team to support the renewal and onboarding of strategic publisher deals.
  • Work cross-functionally with global PMs, local BD teams, Supply CX, and back-office staff to achieve shared goals.
  • With a Demand Driven Supply mindset, you will contribute to local/global demand sales and their customers through the values of supply.
  • This role reports to the Partner Management Team Lead in Japan.

What will you bring to the team?

  • At least 3 years of experience in the digital media or ad tech industry.
  • Experience managing strategic partners and launching new products in the market.
  • Solid understanding of the digital advertising industry and business models, especially those based on advertising revenue.
  • Familiarity with advertising platforms (SSP or DSP) and digital tools such as Google Ad Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics; experience managing accounts and implementing tags are a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills, communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to learn the Teads system architecture and leverage that knowledge to provide partner support and account management.
  • Proactive and highly goal-oriented, with strong skills in time management, prioritization, and organization.
  • Positive, open, collaborative, fair, and solution-focused mindset.
  • Native-level Japanese language skills and a strong willingness to work in English.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel/Google Sheets, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with display and video advertising technologies; practical experience with SDKs or APIs such as JavaScript and CSS is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
