Pipeline Technical Director

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage pipeline between Maya, Arnold, Houdini, Nuke, Shotgrid, Zbrush, After Effects, Photoshop and other software based on the show requirements.
• Collaborate with the Technology Team, CG Supervisors and Production Supervisor, to develop new scripts and tools for all the department (Modelling, Animation, Assembly, FX) that meet specific show requirements, and to improve productivity.
• Maintain, edit, and develop in-house tools.
• Manage and maintain Shotgrid configuration for file publish.
• Provide technical advice and software’s user support (diagnose bugs and issues) for the artists.
• Research and development of new techniques to solve problems and automate workflow.
• Test and validate new tools provided by clients.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Python application development.
• 3+ years of experience in of Animation and Visual Effects production.
• Experience with Maya, Arnold, Houdini, Zbrush and Shotgrid.
• Thorough knowledge of Python, C++, Maya API, Nuke API, Houdini Object Models.
• Good Knowledge of Linux, Windows Server.
• Knowledge with USD is a plus.
• Have good understanding on the entire production pipeline, the artist’s roles, their need and the challenges that they face.
• To have analytical thinking and creative solutions in problem solving.
• Proven experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and developing tools in software like Maya, Arnold, Houdini, Nuke, and Shotgrid.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
