Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Interconnect related equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing or other relevant field Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials or other relevant engineering discipline.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- CRE/CQE (Certified Reliability/Quality Engineer) certification or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of experience in Hardware Quality, Reliability, Product Engineering, Test Engineering or Manufacturing of cloud hardware systems.
- Experience with advanced statistical (or statistics based) methodologies e.g. design of experiments, statistical process controls, six sigma, probabilistic models.
- Understanding of Interconnect manufacturing and test processes.

This role requires an understanding of modern data center hardware infrastructure, including design, manufacturing processes, and testing. Comfort with extracting and analyzing data to generate insights and drive decisions is crucial.

Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the supplier quality and reliability of Interconnect deliverables throughout the life cycle. Drive cross-functional activities in the supply chain for overall technical operational readiness in all NPI phases leading into Production.
- Provide consultation to the design, manufacturing and commodity teams in qualification, and application of Interconnect technologies.
- Assess suppliers’ capabilities from a quality perspective as part of new supplier selection activities. Conduct quality and manufacturing process audits at current and potential suppliers.
- Work cross-functionally to define and ensure processes in place to provide the data required to manage quality and reliability. Interface with suppliers on a regular basis to share feedback from the fleet and drive return material authorization (RMA), corrective action requests (CAR), root cause and corrective action (RCCA) and failure analysis (FA).
