Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for our next Program Operations Manager to join our Program & Portfolio Team to lead the operational delivery of critical programs. This role will support cross-functional teams, ensure program alignment with organizational priorities, and drive execution excellence. You will partner closely with leadership and key stakeholders to manage roadmaps, improve processes, and enable operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong communicator, and experienced in program and portfolio management. This role will report to our Director, Program & Portfolio Management.

This is a hybrid role, candidates considered for this position will be located in San Francisco, CA.

The Job…

  • Program Management: Lead and manage the delivery of cross-functional programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, on-time delivery, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strategic Roadmapping: Partner with leadership to design, implement, and execute program roadmaps, aligning priorities with business objectives.
  • Operational Excellence: Streamline and enhance existing processes to improve execution, reduce inefficiencies, and accelerate delivery across teams.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and external partners to ensure clarity, accountability, and shared success.
  • Communication: Provide regular updates on program progress through concise reporting, including newsletters, presentations, and business reviews (MBRs/QBRs).
  • Risk Management: Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks while maintaining program momentum.
  • Process Documentation: Serve as a subject matter expert on program operations by documenting and communicating workflows, processes, and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve tools, templates, and systems for program management to enable scalable success.

You… 

  • 8+ years of experience in program management, portfolio management, or similar roles, preferably within fast-paced, product-focused organizations.
  • Proven experience implementing and leading roadmapping, prioritization, and program delivery processes.
  • Strong experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Google Sheets.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing initiatives and deliver results.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive alignment and accountability across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex processes and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously and drive operational rigor.

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $150,000 - $200,000 + equity + benefits. The salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
