Job Description

This Programmer Analyst 3 role is within the IT team supporting DHHS. Responsibilities include supporting development environments, production, and batch job monitoring. The role also involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications using .NET 4.8 with C# and Java. Additional tasks include supporting and enhancing CDC I-Billing and CCAC web applications, creating and maintaining documentation, evaluating technical solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders.
Must have:
  • 8-11+ years experience in application development and support
  • 8-11+ years of hands-on development with .NET 4.8 with C#
  • 4-5+ years of experience working with Java
  • Strong experience with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and batch jobs
  • Proficiency with JavaScript, Business Objects/Crystal Reports
  • Experience using JIRA, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, and Git
Good to have:
  • Previous experience working with government or public sector clients
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps practices

Role Description: 

We are seeking an experienced Programmer Analyst 3 to join the IT team supporting the (DHHS). This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence in Lansing, MI, two days a week.

 

You’ll be responsible for (Responsibilities): 

  • Provide development environment support, production support, and batch job monitoring.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using .NET 4.8 (C#) and Java.
  • Support and enhance CDC I-Billing and CCAC web applications.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to navigation, data storage/retrieval, validation, manipulation, printing, and reporting.
  • Evaluate and recommend technical solutions, tools, and upgrade technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and work within Agile methodologies.
Required Skills:
  • 8-11+ years of experience in application development and support.
  • 8-11+ years of hands-on development with .NET 4.8 with C#.
  • 4-5+ years of experience working with Java.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and batch jobs.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript, Business Objects/Crystal Reports.
  • Experience using JIRA, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, and Git.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in hybrid development environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with government or public sector clients.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps practices.
Interview Process:
  • Candidates must be willing to attend onsite interviews in Lansing, MI.
  • A photo screenshot will be required prior to the interview.
  • May include a second-round interview if necessary.
Additional Requirements:
    • Local candidates only – must reside within 90 minutes of Lansing, MI.
    • Hybrid work schedule: 2 days onsite per week is mandatory.
    • No remote-only option available.

 

You’ll have (Qualification & Experience):

  •  Bachelor's Degree in related field is required.
