About Trust & Safety Team
Building a world where people can safely discover, create and connect. The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.
Our frontline teams interact with images, video, text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.
What Will I be bring ?
Please note that this position involves exposure to sensitive content, including but not limited to vulgar content, violence, pornography, and fake news. Moreover, below are the regular responsibilities expected from this role, it includes and is not limited to:
- Perform daily audit on the internal system
- Provide analysis of errors and feedback to the bpo/in-house teams
- Create effective training plans to deliver policy and process training to in-house and external teams
- Provide support on policy/quality related questions on real-time basis
- Responsible for guiding new joiners in order to achieve ramp up targets and monitor their productivity targets
- Work closely with overseas quality analysts to discuss RCA and project plans for the bpo teams
- Conduct in-depth root cause analysis to understand the reasons for errors and prepare effective action plans to reduce the error rate
- Identify potential errors or loopholes in existing policy descriptions and share suggestions to improve them
- Suggest new additions to the policy and optimize the existing process and tools used
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelors degree and above or equivalent working experience in a short video product user industry.
- At least 1-year QA or relevant experience in trust and safety or policy in a major tech or media company.
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of business needs, and strategic thinking skills.
- Familiar with the business logic of labeling and working mode of upstream and downstream teams.
- Familiar with machine learning and content understanding.
- Comfortable reporting to, or collaborating with, all levels of management & broader stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (PPT / Excel / Word)
- An understanding of tools such as the Working Hours tool, and Data visualization are an advantage
- Knowledge of MS office tools such as documents, excel and power point
- Have a demonstrated ability to make good decisions in complex situations
- A quick learner who can learn new tools and skills quickly in a fast-faced environment
- A passion for helping others to grow, and a willingness to step beyond your comfort zone.
