Job Description

As an Intermediate QA Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of projects, attending meetings, communicating test results, creating and maintaining test plans and cases, performing testing, and creating defect tickets. You will also be expected to support the team, understand project life cycles, and ask questions when needed. This role involves collaboration with various teams and requires identifying and raising risks. The candidate should be able to execute regression tests and support QA estimations. The role requires the candidate to work from the office a minimum of 3 days a week.
Must have:
  • English proficiency (B2+ reading, writing, and conversation)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software quality assurance
  • Expertise in reviewing HTML and inline CSS code
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
  • Experience in task management and defect tracking tools
  • Proficiency in key hardware and software, including iOS and Android devices
Good to have:
  • Web development experience is a plus
  • Proofreading/copy editing experience
  • Experience working with local and offshore teams
  • Experience testing marketing emails
  • Experience with scripting/automation (e.g., Selenium)

Job Details

As an Intermediate QA Specialist, you will report to the QA Lead. You will work closely with QA lead, QA Subject Matter Experts, other QA members, Project Managers, Designers and Developers to ensure QA standards and client satisfaction are delivered. You will execute on QA tasks with speed and great quality for the overall agility of the QA team.


 

You will:

  • Is co-responsible for the quality of projects based on the requirements and design specifications
  • Responsible for attending meetings providing status, taking notes and providing feedback when needed
  • Should be able to communicate test results, issues, and risks found to project team members, project managers, and QA management through the different channels
  • Identify test data
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive test plans
  • Writing and maintaining test cases/scripts
  • Create traceability matrix documents based upon project requirements
  • Create checklist documentation based upon project requirements
  • Performing functional and non functional testing
  • Effectively communicating statuses
  • Apply industry standard testing methodology, strategies and industry best practices
  • Create defect tickets and track issues to resolution
  • Report creation and related metrics at different levels when necessary
  • Support the team on onboarding co-workers and/or junior staff members
  • Should be able to execute regression tests based on design specifications and requirements
  • Expected to support QA estimations if needed
  • Expected to fully understand project life cycle and industry standards
  • Expected to fully understand testing methodologies
  • Expected to ask all necessary questions when tasks, requirements or information isn’t clear or missing
  • Identify and raise risks
  • Should be able to work with other team members to ensure the success of projects
  • Should be able to analyze and understand details and requirements of projects and tickets

 

You have:

  • English Proficiency (B2+ reading, writing, and conversation)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software quality assurance (Web development experience is a plus)
  • Expertise in reviewing HTML and inline CSS code
  • Proofreading/copy editing experience
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies for software development
  • Experience working with local and offshore teams
  • Experience in task management and defect tracking tools like Jira and/or similar
  • Proficiency in key hardware and software, including iOS and Android mobile devices, Mac and Windows desktop platforms, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Jira and content management systems
  • Experience testing marketing emails for content, functionality and rendering a plus
  • Experience with scripting/automation (e.g., Selenium) is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
