This role involves transforming a large manufacturer's operations with digital solutions. You'll build a Digital Manufacturing Data Warehouse for 100+ global factories, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Responsibilities include designing and implementing databases, data models, and pipelines; optimizing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes; and building analytics solutions for valuable insights. You'll work in an agile team with specific goals and deliverables. The position requires expertise in data modeling, analysis, wrangling, and big data concepts, along with hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL.

Project description

You will be part of the Team tasked to transform and equip a large Manufacturer with digital solutions, skills and knowledge to strengthen World Class Manufacturing for competitive advantage. You will be responsible for making sure the standard solutions and services deployed integrate with the existing landscape in a proper and documented way.
You will be developing Digital Manufacturing Data Warehouse product for 100+ factories across the globe.
Data Engineering, Data Visualization, Data Warehousing, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks/Spark, Azure IoT Hub, Snowflake, Power BI, Time Series Databases.

Responsibilities

Analyze, design, and implement databases, semantic data models, and data pipelines.

Build the code and logic required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL or other programming languages.

Build analytics solutions that provide valuable insights for clients and end users.

Work in an agile project team that has specific goals and deliverables.

Skills

Must have

5+ years of relevant working experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role

Technical expertise in data modeling and analysis, data wrangling and preprocessing

Understanding of Big Data, ETL/ELT, BI, DWH, Data Lake/Data Lakehouse concepts

Hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL

Great numerical and analytical skills

Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar fields

Nice to have

Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse Analytics, SQL Server, Power BI, Python, Manufacturing
