The Sales Trader Assistant will be responsible for assisting in client-facing trades in the Latin American region. Key responsibilities include monitoring client trading activity, preparing routine correspondence, fielding inquiries, maintaining detailed phone records of trades, and correcting erroneous trades. The role involves collaboration with the Institutional Sales & Trading team and other global offices. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, able to handle competing priorities, and possess strong communication and analytical skills. About the Position

We are looking for a Sales Trader Assistant to help execute our client-facing trades in the Latin American region. The right candidate for this role will be an enthusiastic self-starter who is willing to jump into the action and enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment.

This role sits within our Institutional Sales & Trading team, but you’ll have plenty of opportunities to collaborate with other full-timers across our global offices as you complete your day-to-day activities, which will include:

  • Monitoring client trading activity and preparing routine correspondence with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Fielding inquiries to appropriate team members, following up on emerging issues, and ensuring timely responses to urgent issues as they arise
  • Maintaining a detailed phone record of all trades
  • Correcting erroneous trades, relaying pertinent information to appropriate parties

About You

  • Have a bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of operational support experience, preferably at a financial services firm
  • Licensed in both Series 7 and 63 (preferred, but not required)
  • Have excellent communication and people skills; able to distill complex ideas for a range of audiences
  • Can handle competing priorities and work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Understand the importance of working independently and proactively following up to close the loop on tasks and projects
  • Discrete and trustworthy; able to handle highly sensitive information
  • Like to learn new things and teach others what you know
  • Attentive to detail, organized, and thorough, with a desire for continuous improvement
  • Familiar with using command lines and other technical tools and interfaces outside of standard office software like Excel and Word (we are looking for more general technical proficiency over knowledge of a specific programming language)
  • Fluency in English and Spanish required, familiarity with Portuguese preferred
