About the role
You will be tasked with creating high-quality animations while adhering to technical limitations. You will use your skills to create animations for our characters, objects, and cinematic sequences. You will work closely with other artists, designers, and game programmers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers, programmers, and artists to create quality animations that adhere to the established style and vision.
- Integrate and support animation functionality within the game engine.
- Conduct research and consult references to acquire the necessary knowledge to complete animation tasks.
- Contribute to the conceptualization of character behaviours and abilities in the game.
- Actively participate in the development of the game, levels, and characters.
- Optimize animation assets for memory usage.
Requirements
- Proven experience (+7 years) in Animation in the Video Game industry.
- Excellent knowledge of traditional animation and anatomy.
- Deep knowledge of Maya.
- Deep knowledge of at least one game engine and its tools.
- Willingness to adapt to different technologies depending on the projects.
- Ability to work within the technical constraints of video game development.
- Skill in communicating with other team members.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and a constructive attitude towards feedback.
- Organized and able to meet deadlines.
Bonus Points
- Experience in cartoon and/or Mocap animation.
- Knowledge of Motion Builder.
- Experience in rigging.
- Familiarity with basic concepts of film and cameras.
- Passionate about video games.
