Success will be measured by providing quality HR support, building trust, and integrating into business operations. Overview -

We are seeking an independent, thoughtful HR business partner who can both roll-up their sleeves and think strategically.  The Senior HR business partner position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The Senior HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues.  The HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs; communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management.  This position will proactively form strong working relationships with leadership and the HR organization, seeking new ways to best support the business’ key people initiatives. 

 

In this role you will be you will be responsible for independently managing daily issues related to all phases of the employment life cycle including employee relations, working closely with managers and employees, providing coaching and guidance to influence people outcomes and actively participating in the success of the business. In addition, you will oversee and manage the office and facilities function within the Redwood Shores office location.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • HR certification preferred
  • 5-7 years of applied HR experience
  • HR experience in a financial services or technology company

Your objectives – 

  • To understand the challenges, obstacles and opportunities faced by your assigned business areas.
  • To establish credible, trusting work relationships with your business areas and new ways to best support the business’ key strategic people initiatives.
  • You will design and execute ad hoc reporting, conduct analysis, and make recommendations that aide in making sound business decisions.
  • To become integrated into the current HR function and your role within that organization
  • To actively engage with your business unit to gain a deep understanding of the needs and culture
  • To act collaboratively, consider alternates and demonstrating strong influencing skills
  • To effectively support key strategic and operational talent initiatives of your assigned business group
  • Oversee facilities monthly budget

You will succeed by:

  • Demonstrating a strong knowledge of HR, apply your skills and experience in a pragmatic manner and thoughtful manner
  • By the end of the first quarter, you will have completed a needs assessment of your assigned business group, prioritized critical issues, and developed a plan to deliver appropriate solutions.
  • At six months, your organization receives consistent, quality HR support, you have built trust and credibility with your stakeholders, and you are fully integrated into the daily operations of the business.
