ZeniMax Media is seeking a dynamic Senior IT Manager to lead and drive IT operations and initiatives at our Rockville campus. This role will oversee a skilled IT team, managing infrastructure, security, and support services to ensure optimal performance and alignment with organizational objectives. The Senior IT Manager will collaborate with global teams and studio partners to deliver innovative solutions, streamline workflows, and support the fast-paced gaming environment. With a focus on leadership, technical expertise, and continuous improvement, the ideal candidate will bring proven experience in IT management, a commitment to team development, and a passion for enabling cutting-edge technology in the gaming industry.

Lead, Grow, and Develop an IT Team: Build, lead, and mentor a diverse, high-performing IT team. Focus on team development by providing coaching, identifying individual growth opportunities, and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and accountability. Ensure the team has the skills and support to meet current and future business challenges.
Manage IT Infrastructure and Equipment: Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all local and cloud IT infrastructure and hardware, ensuring smooth operations in a hybrid environment that is increasingly moving toward cloud-based solutions. This includes managing servers, networking equipment, and end-user devices. Ensure the organization’s IT assets are optimized for performance, security, and scalability while minimizing downtime and disruptions to business operations.
Lead Support Operations for Developer Infrastructure: Provide engineering and operational leadership for select build and source control workloads delegated by our studio partners. Focus on delivering value to the studios within the hybrid infrastructure environment. Collaborate closely with both local and central teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration across the full technology stack.
Studio/Development Relationship and Strategy: Collaborate with development teams and other business units to develop a technology roadmap aligned with their vision and long-term goals. Identify and implement opportunities for technological innovation that streamline development workflows, reduce downtime, and lower costs. Facilitate clear and consistent communication across all stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for IT-related projects and initiatives.
Develop IT Strategy with Focus on Innovation and Automation: Create and execute a forward-thinking IT strategy that aligns with business objectives, leveraging innovative technologies and automation solutions to drive efficiency and scalability. Continuously evaluate emerging trends and implement cutting-edge solutions to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and optimize IT operations for future growth.
Budget Handling and Project Management: Provide strategic guidance and advice on budget allocation for studios and other departments, influencing resource decisions to optimize cost-effectiveness and align with business objectives. Lead and oversee IT projects across multiple teams, ensuring on-time delivery within budget. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, track progress, and address challenges.
Collaborate on IT Security Policies and Risk Management: Partner with the IT Security team to implement and uphold security policies and procedures that protect company data, systems, and networks from threats. Take a proactive role in managing IT risks by identifying vulnerabilities, conducting regular audits, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Work collaboratively to develop and execute risk mitigation strategies, respond swiftly to security incidents, and ensure the continuity of business operations.

Proactive IT Partnership Engagement: Build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders within the IT department. Act as a bridge between technical teams, fostering partnerships that drive innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the company.
Ensure Team Success and Active Participation: Take ownership in ensuring the team meets all goals and deliverables. As a leader, step in to fill gaps, offering hands-on support when needed to ensure projects stay on track. Lead by example through active participation, demonstrating a commitment to the team's success, and maintaining high-performance standards.

Proven experience a leadership role, preferably within the gaming industry: A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in leading IT teams, managing large-scale projects, and driving technical initiatives, with a preference for experience in the gaming industry or related fields. The ability to navigate the unique challenges and fast-paced gaming environment is highly desirable.
Experience with game development pipelines: Familiarity with the tools, processes, and workflows used in game development, including source control, build systems, and asset management. Understanding the specific IT needs and challenges of supporting game development teams is a key advantage.
Experience with IT Security best practices: Good understanding of IT security protocols, frameworks, and best practices, including data protection, network security, and risk management. Proven ability to implement and maintain security policies that protect organizational assets and ensure compliance with industry standards.
