Job Description

This is a Senior Java Developer role focused on a modernization project for a large insurance client's core business systems. The project involves supporting applications running in Kubernetes, decoupling a monolithic application into smaller services, and migrating to a modern technology stack. Responsibilities include quickly onboarding to client processes, ensuring cloud readiness and integration with Azure APIM and Gateway, collaborating with other teams and the client to find optimal solutions, and actively utilizing static and GenAI-based code conversion tools. The role requires strong Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and distributed systems expertise, as well as experience with microservices, containers (Kubernetes), and databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL Server). Agile and DevOps experience are essential.

Must have:

4+ years enterprise backend system design experience
Strong Java, Spring/Spring Boot knowledge
Deep understanding of enterprise application architecture
Experience with distributed systems
Microservice architecture knowledge
Kubernetes/container experience
PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL Server experience
Agile/DevOps adoption

Good to have:

Azure and cloud architecture experience
Distributed cache systems experience
GenAI tool experience

Project description

Modernization project of core business systems for a large insurance client.

The activities include the support applications running in Kubernetes, decoupling monolith application to smaller services and migration to modern technology stack.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer who can help to perform migration of client platform:

Quickly onboard to Customer's processes

Ensure Cloud Readiness and integration of Azure APIM and Gateway

Collaborate with other teams and client to find the best solutions

Active applying of static and GenAI based code conversion tools

Skills

Must have

Readiness to work until 8.00 pm CET (no need to do overtimes);

At least 4 years' work experience including enterprise backend system design experience;

Strong knowledge of Java language and Spring/Spring Boot;

Deep understanding of enterprise application architecture patterns;

Experience with distributed systems;

Good knowledge of SQL;

Familiar with microservice architecture patterns;

Familiar with Containers and Orchestration Systems (Kubernetes/PKS/OpenShift);

Experience with PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL Server;

Adoption of Agile and DevOps culture;

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

Experience with Azure and knowledge of cloud architecture patterns;

Experience with distributed cache systems;

Experience with GenAI tools or solutions.
