Senior Logistics Officer (Temp)

General

• Handle daily shipment arrangement, documentation and system posting of product orders.
• Conduct data analysis and prepare operational reports.

What will you work on?

• Handle full set I/E documents and Bank document presentation in a timely manner independently.
• Act as a bridge between his/her subordinate, if any, and superiors or other functional teams in business organization.
• Supervise and manage his/her subordinates, if any, to assure that shipment jobs are done correctly and timely.
• Build team spirit and develop his/her subordinate staff as an on-going mission.
• Execute and monitor the enforcement of SI or SOP given to vendors or factories.
• Daily liaison with vendors, factories, 3PLs, customers and internal departments to pursue timely goods delivery and document provision.
• Build good relationship with service vendors and factories to pursue rapport in operation.
• Lodge import and export declaration to local governmental authority.
• Responsible for daily transactional posting in system and meet month end closing requirements.
• Responsible for shipment data integrity and timeliness in system.
• Drive to meet OTD (on time delivery) target and other KPIs set forth.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks that may be assigned by superior.
• Bring up critical and risky operational issue to superior in time.
• Prepare daily operation reports as required.
• Assist manager to procure spot quote and conduct comparison assessment to support shipment fulfillment.
• Spotlight practice change (logistics, regulation, factory etc) to superior and recommend necessary refreshment of SOP or running practice.
• Assist Manager in compilation of SOP/SI creation or update.
• Assist Manager in provision of logistics training to subcontracted manufacturers or others in concern.
• Play the role of in-house trainer to assist in new staff on board training and ordinary staff development.
• Arrange payment acquisition.

What are your skills and experience?

• Degree holder in Logistics Management or other related discipline.
• 3 – 5 years' relevant trade experience; worked in Hard Toys Trading/ Buying Office or EMS / FMCG industry most preferable.
• Experience in L/C presentation preferable.
• Basic knowledge in international shipping a must.
• Knowledge in local I/E formality a must.
• Knowledge in Toys Import formality of buyer countries overseas an asset (esp China).
• Knowledge in China import customs formality an asset (for China stationed post only).

• Experience of SAP operation preferable.
• Good computer knowledge.
• Hands on experience in Full set I/E documentation and bank document presentation.
• Self-motivated, independent, responsible, able to work under pressure, positive thinking, willing to learn and progress along career path.
• Good presentation skills and logical mindset.
• Good command in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken).
