Playrix is seeking a talented Senior/Principal 2D Artist to join their team and help shape the visual direction of their flagship match-3 games. You will be responsible for developing the overall style, redesigning existing elements, and conceptualizing new ones. The role requires a strong visual vision, understanding of production pipelines, and experience in creating complex concepts. You will work closely with the Producer and be part of a strong art community.
Must have:
  • 5+ years experience in game development, preferably on match-3 projects
  • Strong visual vision for the product
  • High artistic taste and understanding of quality balance
  • Understanding of production pipelines and game graphics development specifics
  • Excellent understanding of small shapes and volumes in match-3 elements
  • Experience in elements design and creation of complex concepts
  • Basic 3D knowledge (actively used in match-3 development)
  • Ability to identify schedule errors and provide constructive feedback
  • Knowledge of global mobile game market and graphics trends

Principal 2D Artist (Match-3)

Team, about the role

Now our flagships are experiencing a new phase in the development of quality. We are looking for talented artists who can help us achieve this as efficiently as possible, maintaining our leadership in the casual games. 
Working directly with the Producer, you will tackle complex tasks related to shaping the overall stylistic vision of the product, finding new visual solutions for the match-3 layer, conceptualizing new elements, and redesigning existing ones.

We have a strong art community of professionals known both within and beyond the game development industry. And we would be eager for equally passionate people to join our team.

This role requires relocation from Russia and Belarus to one of our offices or remote work from other countries (except Russia and Belarus). Find out more .

Tasks

  • Development of the overall style for match-3.
  • Complex, multifaceted tasks.
  • Redesign of existing elements, bonuses, boosters.
  • Conceptualization of new elements, bonuses, boosters.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience in game development, preferably on match-3 projects.
  • Strong visual vision for the product.High artistic taste and discernment, understanding of the balance of quality.
  • Understanding of production pipelines and the specifics of graphics development for games.
  • Excellent understanding of small shapes and volumes in match-3 elements, with a high level of rendering. Experience in elements design and creation of complex concepts.
  • Basic 3D knowledge (actively used in match-3 development).
  • Ability to identify errors in schedules and provide constructive feedback to the team.
  • Knowledge of the global mobile games market and graphics trends.
