As a Senior Product Manager for Matchmaking at EFG, you'll build a world-class experience for players. Responsibilities include conducting user research to understand player needs, collaborating on product vision and strategy, working cross-functionally with engineering and design teams, owning major feature launches, utilizing data for iteration, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will match players of similar skill and provide the toughest challenges, grinding the rankings and creating a world-class experience for players. This involves deep understanding of player needs across all games and utilizing data-informed decisions to improve the matchmaking system.
Must have:
  • In-depth Product Management experience in a technical environment (preferably gaming)

  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)

As a Senior Product Manager for our Matchmaking system, you will work cross-functionally with design, engineering and product marketing, as well as other cross-functional teams, to build a world-class experience for our players, matching them with players of similar skill and facing them against the toughest challenge, and grinding the rankings.

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager, who is highly customer-focused, team-oriented, and has a real bias for action. You will have a consistent track record of taking end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and technical environment. You are comfortable inspiring our teams with vision, and also willing to get your hands dirty with the daily work of the team.

What will you do in this role?

  • Develop a deep understanding of our players, both existing and potential, across all games, by conducting both quantitative and qualitative user research to understand user needs, pain points, and preferences.
  • Collaborate on the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and supporting metrics required to deliver new features and experiences for our play propositions for both paid and free users.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and product marketing, as well as other cross-functional development teams, to build experiences that delight users, including writing requirements, participating in team rituals, and playtesting new features.
  • Own major feature launches within the team and with other teams across Digital Platform.
  • Utilise data to prioritize, measure success, and iterate on product improvements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback.

Requirements

  • In-depth Product Management experience within a technical environment, preferably in gaming.
  • Experience prioritizing features effectively based on user insights, business context and data, then making strong recommendations and trade-offs to iterate quickly.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-informed decision-making, quantitative and qualitative user research and discovery.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and development, with a willingness to embrace new challenges.
  • A passion for gaming and esports and a desire to innovate within a growing industry.
