Senior Product Owner – Customer & Partner Applications

As Product Owner for Customer & Partner Applications, you facilitate the transition from business needs and ideas to solutions, plans, and implementations in your area and across the entire system landscape.

The Customer & Partner Applications area includes several independent web applications providing functionality to Milestone Employees, Partners, and Customers. Examples of applications include a solution designer for determining hardware for specific installations, product version comparison tools and complex partner dashboards. All applications have a commercial focus and are delivered as web-based services.

An important part of the job is also coordinating across Product Owner areas to achieve the desired business results. You will therefore work with other Product Owners to ensure that coherent plans are created across teams, and that there is a shared sense of purpose for the complete change.

Key Responsibilities

• As a Product Owner for Customer & Partner Applications, you will be responsible for:
• Maintain a prioritized backlog for the Customer & Partner Applications development team and a consolidated implementation plan 
• Ensure a clear direction for the team and that the teams’ efforts are applied where it creates the most value for Milestone
• Bring stakeholders together and facilitate a shared understanding of value and any dilemmas that must be resolved.
• Work closely with the Team Lead for the development team on coordination and planning
• Ensure that features are clearly defined: What should the outcome be? what value is achieved? what are the acceptance criteria? What are the dependencies to other deliverables inside or outside the team?
• Facilitate the refinement of feature, and together with the Team Lead empower the team to be able to provide input so key questions can be answered: What are the solution designs? When can we have a plan? How is the feature broken down into increments (user stories)? What are the efforts needed to implement? How does the implementation plan look?

As Product Owner you are not a responsible for people management or for the daily operations of the team including any support or incident management needed.

As our new Product Owner, you will contribute with your extensive experience from similar role and you enjoy collaborating with others to reach a common goal and you can do so at several levels.

• Experienced in managing multiple business stakeholders and facilitating a shared prioritization across business areas.
• Ability to understand and describe complex business requirements in a technically complex context
• Experience with products with technical and organizational dependencies outside your own area.
• You prioritize getting ‘pen to paper’ and maintain transparency on initiatives – for instance when it comes to documenting requirements, findings, status, and plans.
• Replanning when situations evolve comes natural to as part of your work, and you ensure that there is always updated and accessible transparency on your area.
• As a person you can keep calm, listen to, understand business needs, and use balanced approaches to people and needs.
• You are honest and are not afraid to expose your own mistakes.
• Humor is part of your DNA.
• You are passionate about providing value to the business and use your insights in both business and technology to enable value to be delivered quickly and iteratively.
• You are structured and capable of setting a clear direction for the team, protecting and guiding team(s) to solve the right problems.

• You are comfortable operating at various levels of detail and abstraction, and you speak business with IT and technology with the Business.

Please note that the position is on-site at our headquarters in Brøndby and requires that you have a valid work visa.
