Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at Employ, you will design and develop web-based SaaS products for millions of users. You'll collaborate with a team focused on customer delight and rapid iteration, owning your code and embracing a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Responsibilities include designing and developing using Java/J2EE, REST APIs, Spring & Hibernate, working with MySQL and NoSQL databases, and leveraging AWS services for deployment. You will also troubleshoot hosting issues related to K8s, IaC, databases, and the cloud. Mentorship of other team members is expected.

Must have:

5+ years software design & development
Strong Java/J2EE, Spring & Hibernate
REST APIs experience
MySQL & NoSQL database experience
AWS services & deployments
Agile methodology and TDD

Good to have:

Apache, Solr, Lucene, ElasticSearch, Memcached
Ant, Maven, Git, Jenkins, Docker
Experience with SDLC tools

What You Will Do

As a Senior software engineer you will be entrusted with design and development of web-based SaaS products that delight our customers and scale out to millions of users. You’ll work with a team who gets to do things (not has to do them), obsesses over customer delight and shift left concepts, owns what they code, and is committed to shipping small and failing fast. As an engineer at Jobvite, you will have the freedom and ownership to turn your ideas into great products, in collaboration with our broader team.
