The role involves developing and optimizing materials and shaders, configuring physical materials, managing texture groups, virtual textures, and streaming setups, setting up mesh LODs and Nanite configurations, establishing lighting, color grading, and atmospherics, configuring cameras, post-processing, and visual effects, working on landscape systems, decals, and terrain visuals, managing instance culling, occlusion culling, and level streaming, and documenting processes and creating reusable, scalable visual pipelines.
