The role is located in Berlin or Heidelberg, and follows a hybrid working model.

About the Role

Do you have a talent for transforming complex ideas into great visual content? We’re looking for a visual storyteller who will enjoy translating our mission into engaging social content. This role is also a great opportunity to build rapport with the research community. You’ll be at the frontlines of listening to their concerns and reporting any potential issues back to the business. And if you like working in a global context for a purpose-driven company, you’ve come to the right place. You will be part of the Corporate Affairs team. 

 
This role can be in our Berlin or Heidelberg offices on a hybrid working model.  

 

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Content creation: Create posts for Springer Nature’s social media channels with a focus on graphics, videos and visual storytelling.   

  • Community management: Engage with our communities on social media. Proactively build positive relationships and reactively respond to online criticism.  

  • Social listening & issues management: Work with a social media tool to listen for (especially) negative brand mentions and support in protecting our reputation.  

  • Campaign management: Develop, execute and report on performance of social media campaigns in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. 

 

Experience, Skills & Qualifications: 

 

  • University degree in a related field or equivalent work experience 

  • Proven experience in Social Media Communications or Marketing or a comparable background is welcomed  

  • Advanced knowledge of social media tools as well as image and video editing tools 

  • Data-driven and strong analytical mind 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German   

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, preferably within a global context and the ability to cultivate strong working relationships across multiple teams, cultures and geographies, with a range of stakeholder groups  

  • Organised approach and ability to multitask, versatile and resilient
