EasygoEasygo seeks a Software Development Engineer for their Payments team in Sydney. The team builds highly scalable, secure, and compliant payment systems supporting various currencies and methods worldwide. Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable software solutions, optimizing existing systems, hands-on coding and development, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical leadership. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience in software engineering, focusing on scalable system design and development, experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities. They will work on complex projects, contribute to shaping the future of entertainment, and enjoy a culture focused on growth and success.

About the team

 

The Payments team is responsible for delivering a highly scalable, secure, high-performance, and compliant payment system that supports numerous currencies and payment methods worldwide. This team forms the backbone of our financial operations, playing a crucial role in driving revenue growth, enabling global expansion, and strengthening customer trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance software solutions in alignment with project requirements and company standards.
  • Optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Actively engage in hands-on coding and development, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating technical concepts and project updates.
  • Provide technical leadership, guiding and mentoring junior engineers in the team.



Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, focusing on scalable system design and development.
  • Experience with Cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of code architecture, design principles and documentation practices.
  • Analytical mindset to address complex technical challenges and devise innovative solutions.
  • Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guiding teams.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.



Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proven track record of building and operating highly scalable payments processing systems.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, meeting high standards of compliance and trust.

About The Company

The last 2 years have been huge for us, we have grown from 20 to 100+ team members. Whilst the products that we build are global we have two amazing offices in the same building in the heart of the CBD with all the bells and whistles you could ever want. Including an in-house barista, pool, and table tennis tables, PS5 and Nintendo Switches, a meditation room, help yourself drinks fridge and snack wall, catered breakfast daily, weekly massages and team lunch.
