Job Description

Google Threat Intelligence (GTI) seeks a Software Engineer to build and enhance their global threat intelligence platform. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing platform features, processing massive threat data, collaborating with security experts, optimizing performance and user experience, and staying updated on the latest threats. The role requires building and managing threat intelligence teams, analyzing system security, and possessing technical and cybersecurity expertise. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
5+ years experience building/managing threat intelligence teams
Experience in system security analysis (testing, scanning, threat modeling)
Technical and cybersecurity expertise
Design, develop, and implement platform features
Process and analyze massive threat data

Good to have:

Experience with detection, incident response, threat intelligence, and systems/network hardening
Strong analytical and communication skills
Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience building and managing threat intelligence teams in companies or government agencies.
Experience analyzing the security of systems (e.g., security testing, vulnerability scanning, threat modeling, etc.).
Experience with technical and cyber security.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with detection, incident response, threat intelligence, and systems and network hardening.
Ability to work analytically to process multidimensional information and solve for connections.
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Work closely with security experts to understand their needs and translate them into actionable features.
Identify opportunities to optimize performance, scalability, and user experience.
