Role overview:

Job Title: Storage & Backup Administrator Professional
Location: Rome
Smartworking: Yes, hybrid position

Skills:

  • Administer and manage the Storage and Backup infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, security and availability.
  • Follow internal requirements analysis to dimension the storage and backup solution more adequately.
  • Monitor the performance of storage and backup systems, identifying any critical events and implementing corrective solutions.
  • Implement patch management activities to ensure the security and stability of storage systems.
  • Manage the data backup and restore process, including periodic recovery testing to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
  • Planning and continuing annual reviews of the maintenance of assets and systems in sequence.
  • Collaborate with the supplier for inventory management and technical support services.
  • Manage inventory of storage equipment, ensuring proper documentation and monitoring of financial assets.
  • Support the implementation of new storage and backup solutions, offering customers a wide range of storage practices.
  • Good knowledge of principal archiving systems (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, IBM, Pure Storage, Oracle ZFS, Brocade ) and backup solutions (Veeam, Veritas, Commvault, etc.).
  • Competence in the management, maintenance and operation of storage and backup infrastructure.
  • Ability to identify and resolve technical problems quickly and effectively.
  • Good understanding of computer security practices related to archiving and backup systems.
  • Good knowledge of English, written and spoken.
