Senior Manager for Engineering Infrastructure and Information Technology for the Nintendo Technology Development Inc. (NTD) organization who will be responsible for expanding and maintaining infrastructure and highly available services for this research and development organization. This role requires a high degree of collaboration across all organizational levels at Nintendo Co., Ltd. (NCL) and its subsidiaries, as well as with strategically significant external partners. This role will provide technical leadership and directly manage people, as well as manage technical projects of considerable scope and complexity.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Manages highly technical, strategically critical infrastructure supporting R&D engineering teams.
Drives innovation and provides technical direction for platform engineering solutions and IT services aligned with strategic goals, in collaboration with management and initiative stakeholders.
Ensures effective and efficient delivery of IT services to the organization, including establishing appropriate IT standards, controls, policies and procedures.
Responsible for hiring, managing and developing the team with appropriate technical breadth and depth required to support the organization.
Communicates and collaborates effectively with teams across organizational boundaries and with strategically significant external partners to ensure delivery of high-quality services and solutions.
Negotiates with and influences internal and external audiences; seeks to build relationships and partner with others; pursues the diverse experience of others to achieve business objectives.
Prepares budget inputs for fiscal year planning.
Owns decisions that impact multiple teams and programs for the organization.
Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
Analyzes workflow and resources to provide input to management on IT budget, resource allocation and project / program alignment.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
10+ years of experience developing and maintaining infrastructures to support engineering teams.
Broad experience across multiple IT domain areas such as systems engineering and infrastructure, networking and storage, cloud computing infrastructure, security, application development, system administration and service desk operations.
Leadership experience managing others and cultivating technical breadth and depth on a team.
Comprehensive knowledge of platform technologies and engineering infrastructure; keeps abreast of industry trends.
Comprehensive knowledge of established IT processes and internal controls (e.g. SDLC, JSOX, change management, architecture review, incident response, etc.).
Knowledge of IT security controls and best practices for prevention, protection, detection and correction (e.g. HW / SW security controls, PII information security, etc.).
Experience managing fleets which include Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft products such as Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), Intune, Office365 etc.
Knowledge of cloud orchestration infrastructure such as OpenStack, OpenNebula, vSphere, Nutanix, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, etc.
Knowledge of container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
Prior software or hardware development a plus.
Fluency in Japanese a plus.
BS or MS in engineering, computer science, a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time.
This position includes a base salary range of $197,289 - $295,934 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
