The Strategic Account Director will drive revenue growth and long-term partnerships with major brands in fashion, e-commerce, and travel. This role involves developing client relationships, crafting media strategies, and acting as a trusted advisor. Responsibilities include understanding client needs, representing Teads at industry events, coordinating with multi-market teams, and driving growth within client portfolios. The candidate should be a sales-minded strategist who thrives on relationship-building and has the ability to deliver best-in-class media solutions. They will also work closely with the sales team to secure Teads’ presence in core media plans and activation budgets.
Must have:
  • Experience in media/digital advertising, client-facing sales or account management.
  • Ability to establish and foster long-term partnerships with senior executives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for client presentations.
  • Understanding of online video and performance advertising.
  • Ability to inspire, guide, and collaborate with colleagues.

About the opportunity

Teads is seeking a commercially driven, strategic, and collaborative Strategic Account Director to join our high-performing team in Amsterdam.

In this role, you’ll be the key driver behind revenue growth and long-term partnerships with some of the world’s most iconic brands in fashion, e-commerce, and travel. You’ll work closely with globally recognised advertisers, delivering best-in-class, full-funnel media solutions that align with their branding and performance objectives.

As a sales-minded strategist, you’ll be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, crafting impactful media strategies, and unlocking long-term value for both the client and Teads. You thrive on relationship-building at senior and C-levels, and have the confidence to act as a trusted advisor across multiple markets and stakeholders.

What will you do?

  • Develop and nurture strong, senior-level relationships with advertisers and positioning Teads as a trusted partner in their media portfolios, ensuring our innovative advertising solutions become an indispensable part of their media strategies.
  • Understand client business needs deeply to craft and deliver innovative solutions that align with their objectives and maximise results. 
  • Represent Teads in industry events, share best practices, and engage in ongoing knowledge exchange with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the sales team to secure Teads’ presence in core media plans and activation budgets across client departments, including Marketing, Insights, and Data.
  • Coordinate seamlessly across multi-market teams to align on client needs, ensure consistency in delivery, and uncover new opportunities. 
  • Take ownership of client portfolios, working independently to drive growth while aligning with global objectives. 
  • Tackle complex challenges with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, bringing insights to both internal and client discussions.  

What will you bring to the team?

  • Proven experience in media or digital advertising, ideally within a client-facing sales or account management role with a strong network among top marketing and media agencies decision-makers. 
  • Proven ability to establish and foster long-term, meaningful partnerships with senior executives and global stakeholders. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop and deliver best-in-class, tailored presentations for clients.
  • Strong understanding of online video, display, and performance advertising, with an understanding of cross-channel dynamics and trends. 
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, guide, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve team objectives.
  • Skilled in converting business from other media channels and understanding cross-channel dynamics.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Business English is a must, with fluency in another European language is a strong plus.
