Tech Lead Manager, Network Security

Team Introduction The security engineering team is missioned to build security services, platforms and technologies, as well as to support cross-functional teams to protect our users, products and infrastructures. In this team you'll have a unique opportunity to have first-hand exposure to the strategy of the company in key security initiatives, especially in building scalable and secure-by-design systems and solutions. You also have opportunities to go through the whole lifecycle of security products or services, are encouraged to participate in each phase, each part of the projects and have the whole picture of what we are working on. Responsibilities - Lead a team of software engineers to design and build network security products with high standards. - Lead and drive technical directions in specific network security areas, such as NGFW, WAF, Anti-DDoS, NDR, etc. - Support ByteDance and external customers with network security products. - Coach the team members on professional growth.

Minimum Qualifications - B.S. or advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other relevant majors, with at least 5 years software development experience in the cybersecurity domain and at least 3 years team lead experience. - Solid understanding and development experience of TCP/IP network stacks. - Hands-on experience with popular web application protocols, such as HTTP/HTTPS, QUIC, etc. - Rich experience with DPDK, Hyperscan, and Linux systems. - Self-driven problem solver with great communication and collaboration skills.
